ACT

For myself

You feel what you feel. All your feelings are normal and you’re having normal reactions. Reach out to people and talk – talking is the most healing medicine. Give yourself permission to feel down, sad, angry, happy, relieved and permission to share these feelings with others. Reoccurring thoughts, dreams or flashbacks are normal – do not try to fight them – they should decrease over time. Do things that feel good to you and are ways to self-care (i.e., physical activity, journaling, connecting with friends, going to a movie, taking a bath). Eat balanced and regular meals and remember to try and get plenty of rest.
